They went to the East End Café in Whitesboro for a coke. After three years and three months of dating, Dean married his angel Frances on June 18, 1954, at the Callisburg Methodist Church. Dean and Frances built their home and raised their family in Callisburg. They had six children: Kimberly, Dena, Trent, Vince, Aleta and Dax. Dean was on the Callisburg School Board for 18 years where he had the privilege of presenting each of their children their diploma. He was instrumental in developing the Woodbine Water Department.
Dean worked in the oil industry for most of his life. When he left the oil industry, he worked on the family ranch. His passion was working with cattle, gardening, coon hunting, and fishing at the cabin in New Mexico during the summer.
Dean loved most of all spending time with Frances and their family.
