Mary Ann Chapman, 58, of Gainesville, TX, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025.
Born the youngest of four children, Mary was known for her kind heart, quick wit, and unwavering love for her family. She married Michael Wayne Chapman in 1995, and together they raised two sons, William (Billy) and Nicholas. Mary found her greatest joy in being a mother and grandmother. She had a lifelong love of animals and was rarely without a furry or feathered friend by her side. Her beloved dog, Bear, was her constant companion and emotional support during her final years.
Even through health challenges, Mary faced life with strength, humor, and a sparkle in her eye that brought joy to everyone around her.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Chapman; her father, James Dean Lane, her mother, Mary Elizabeth Lane; her two brothers, Billy McAllister and Jay McAllister, and her nephew, James Janota.
She is survived by her sons, William & Nicholas Chapman; her grandchildren, Evelyn and Rowan; her sister, Maggie Campbell; her daughter-in-law, Angela (Billy); and her best friend, Ashley Pumphrey, along with many loving friends who will cherish her memory.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.
