Karen Louise Hydreos, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, entered eternal rest on August 15, 2025, at her home in Angelus Oaks, California. Born on February 3, 1947, in Washington, Karen was a beacon of kindness and love, residing in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

For 52 beautiful years, Karen shared her life with her devoted husband, Harry Hydreos. Together, they traversed life’s joys and challenges, standing as an unwavering support for one another. Their love was a testament to the beauty of partnership, and it was within this bond that they created a family filled with love and laughter.

Karen was a proud mother to her son, Alex Hydreos. Her pride in her son's achievements was matched only by the warmth and encouragement she offered him throughout his life. Karen’s dedication to her family extended to her siblings; she leaves behind her loving brother, Mike Blanscet, and her dear sister, Trina Sehoengarth. Each of them carries with them the fond memories of a sister whose heart was as vast as her travels.

Educated with an Associate's degree, Karen dedicated her career to serving the community as a clerk at the Sheriff Department for San Bernardino. Her passion for helping others shone brightly in her work, reflecting her sweet and caring nature. Friends and colleagues will remember not just her professionalism but also her kindness, which made a lasting impact on those around her.

Karen had a zest for life that was infectious. She adored traveling, gathering countless memories from places like Tahiti, Rome, Mexico, and Ireland. These journeys enriched her spirit and allowed her to embrace the world fully. One fond memory that reflects the depth of her emotions is the moment she cried tears of joy while on a boat in Venice, Italy, a vivid symbol of her loving heart and appreciation for life's experiences.

In her quiet moments, Karen cherished her hobbies, reveling in her love for jewelry and spending time acquiring treasures that brought her joy. Each piece served as a reminder of her vibrant personality and the many moments she celebrated, with her birthday being her most cherished holiday.

With the passing of her dear parents, William and Dolores Blanscet, Karen remained strengthened by the love of her family. Their memories lived on in her stories and the values she imparted to those around her.

In her final moments, surrounded by loved ones in her home, Karen left this world peacefully, embodying the same kindness she'd shown throughout her life. Her spirit, characterized by her sweet demeanor and caring essence, will be deeply missed.

A funeral service for Karen Louise Hydreos will be held on September 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Yucaipa, California. Following the service, her burial will take place at Riverside National Cemetery at 12:45 PM.

As we remember Karen, we celebrate her legacy of love, compassion, and adventure. She touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever illuminate our hearts.
