Karen Lurraie Johnson, age 71, of Eagle Springs, passed away on September 27, 2025, at her home.
Karen was born on April 2, 1954, in Walla Walla, WA, to Clark Erdman and Carrie Lurraie Preas. Karen dedicated much of her life to education, serving as a teacher's assistant for Montgomery County schools until her retirement.
Karen is survived by her son, Darrell Johnson (Heather) of Asheboro, and her daughter, Jamie Johnson of Eagle Springs. She also leaves behind her brothers, Ron Erdman (Sissie) of Walla Walla, WA; Lee Erdman (Darcy) of Tigard Oregon; and Larry Erdman of Beaverton, Oregon. Grandchildren Elijah and Aubrey, as well as her cherished dog, Mia, and grand dog, Thor.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Phillips Funeral Home from 7:00-9:00 pm.
