Karen Rae Lane, 73, of Collinsville IL, born March 4, 1952 in E. St. Louis, IL, peacefully passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, at La Bella of Edwardsville after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Jewel Ray and Lois (nee Schoppe) Lane and her brother, Steven Lane, all of Collinsville and her sister-in-law, Jane (nee Mateer) Lane

Karen was a longtime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Before her Parkinson's symptoms made it too difficult, she loved genealogy and quilting. She was extremely thoughtful and always enjoyed doing things for others, especially when they were going through difficult times.

Karen is survived by her daughters: Karla Russell of Edwardsville and Rebecca (Mike) Collins of Osage Beach, MO; six grandchildren: Rachel (Stuart Lund) Russell of Edwardsville, Keely (Michael) Eller of Buckner, MO, Courtney Russell of Edwardsville, Andrea (Jimmy) Dickerson of Edwardsville, Dylan Russell of Memphis, TN, and Kobe Collins of Collinsville; Bonus Grandson: Seth Carter; and Great-Grandchildren: Trystan, Trentyn and Thortyn Lund, Felicity, Peyton, and Olivia Dickerson, and Riley Eller; one brother Dale (Diane Grote) Lane of Collinsville; and two sisters: Susan (Terry) Koste of Collinsville and Ruth (Frank) Gordon of Huntsville, AL; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. officated by Bishop Justin Porter.

Memorials may be made to The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062
