Karen Ann Miller

Karen Ann Miller, 66, of Conrad, IA, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, at her residence in Conrad. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at RJ's Lounge in Conrad. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Cando, ND. Karen was born on December 5, 1955, to Ernest and Mildred (Krokan) Peterson in Cando, ND. She graduated from Cando High School in 1973. Karen was united in marriage to Joe Lux and had two daughters, Rebecca and Heather. She later divorced Joe and was united in marriage with Ralph Miller. Ralph later passed away. Later on Karen met John Murdock and cherished their time together from 2005 until the time of her passing. Karen was self-employed for the majority of her life. She spent a lot of time cleaning, painting and decorating houses. Karen was well known for her recent canvas paintings and natural talent of stained glass creations. She was a very gifted woman with all of her decorating skills. Along with crafts Karen loved to go to the flea market and farmers market with her friends. She also loved to spend time every summer back at the family farm in Cando with her sisters where she grew up. Most of all Karen loved spending time with her family and friends.
Karen will be dearly missed by her significant other; John Murdock of Conrad, IA, children; Rebecca King of Toledo, IA, Heather Lux Hindman of Toledo, IA, Grandchildren; Raymond Taylor of Iowa Falls, IA, David King of Toledo, IA, Aiden King of Toledo, IA and Jameson Lux of Newton, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jerry Peterson and Ronnie Peterson, and sister Arlene Goergen.
