Karen A. Murray, 86, of Enfield, CT, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, surrounded by loving family. She was born on September 21, 1939 in Holyoke, MA. She is predeceased by, and now reunited with the love of her life; her husband Bruce Murray, who she shared 60 wonderful years with. Karen is also reunited with her beloved grandson Tanner Webb.

Karen was born to Alma and Thomas Rhodes and raised by her aunt Cecilia Menard. She was a graduate of Chicopee High School. Karen and Bruce married in 1959 and resided in Fairfield, MA until moving to Enfield which she called home for 61 years. She was a devoted mother at home in her children's younger years. She then worked various part time positions in the school lunch room, at Lerner clothing store, clerical work at Industronics, and finally "promoted" to full-time Grandma. Karen's favorite pastime was camping with family and friends.

She and Bruce called Crown Point Camping Area in Perkinsville, VT their second home for decades. They brought their children and then grandchildren camping each year, creating the most cherished memories. Karen was a talented crafter; she painted ceramics and crocheted blankets for the birth of each child in the family. She also enjoyed gardening, watching the Boston Red Sox, and playing cards.

Above all, Karen's pride and joy were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The family tree that Karen and Bruce created with such intention leaves an incredible legacy. To be loved by them was a treasured experience for all of us "kids".

Karen will be dearly missed by her four children, Theresa Webb of Mansfield, CT, James Murray of Bradford, VT, Michael Murray and his wife Marcia of Enfield, and Russell Murray and his wife DiAnn of Enfield, her sister Joanne Beaulieu and husband Del of Acadia, FL, her six grandchildren; Jennifer & husband Sean, Kayla, Sean & wife Bonnie, Ethan & wife Diana, Heather & husband Anthony, Melissa, and six great-grandchildren; Declan, Killian, Calvin, Josephine, Lydia, and Benson. "Bruce and Karen have gone camping."

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at St. Martha's Church, Enfield. Following Mass, Karen will then be laid to rest at Hazardville Cemetery. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis TN 38105-9959 or National Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 676910, Dallas, TX 75267-6910.
