Karen Napodano

Karen Napadano, 78, of Clifton, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2025. Born in Passaic to Andrew and Dorothy (Bauman) Schiro, Karen was a lifelong resident of Clifton and deeply rooted in her community.

For 35 years, Karen worked as the office manager at Sandy Alexander Printing in Clifton, where she was known for her kindness, dedication, and easy laugh. She was also a faithful parishioner of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

Karen had a lifelong love of animals and shared her home with many beloved pets over the years - especially her dogs Max, a West Highland Terrier, and Maggie, a Shih Tzu. She also rescued several cats, including her most recent companions, Socks and Oscar. Her compassion for animals reflected her gentle and caring spirit.

Karen is survived by her brother, Barry Schiro, and his wife, Darlena, of Wayne; her cherished nieces and nephews, Kevin and Vanessa Schiro and their children Andrew and Alex, as well as Ed and Jaime McLaughlin and their children Ryan, Kaitlyn, Connor, and Ella, all of Kinnelon. She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Linda Coahran.

A celebration of Karen's life will be held on Friday, October 10, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Road, Clifton, NJ 07012.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Karen's memory may be made to the Clifton Animal Shelter (cliftonanimalshelter.com) - a cause close to her heart.
