Easton, MA - It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Karen Plumer, 78, a devoted matriarch, on July 6, 2025.

Born in Baltimore, MD on July 28, 1946, Karen was the daughter of the late Sara Grace and Randolph Richardson. She was also preceded in death by Adolphus Moses Grace, her mother's cherished husband, who was more than a stepfather; he was unequivocally her beloved father, and she was undeniably his "daddy's girl"

Karen built a full life in Massachusetts.

A proud graduate of Jeremiah Burke High School (1964), she married the love of her life, Lawrence Plumer, on October 9, 1965. Together they welcomed two adored children, Michelle and Lawrence, and moved their family from Boston to Brockton (1972) and then Easton (1978).

Karen dedicated 42 years as a Senior Payroll Administrator at Brockton Hospital before retiring in 2014. Her deep faith led her to be baptized at Mount Moriah Baptist Church in 1990. She was known for her warm spirit, passion for bowling, and legendary baking.

Karen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Plumer, and sister, Brenda Small. She is survived by her dear children, Michelle Plumer-Farrell and her husband Bryant Farrell of Randolph, MA and Lawrence Plumer and his wife Janice of Brockton, MA; her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Tiah of Mansfield, MA James Tiah of Randolph, MA and Quincy Plumer of Brockton, MA; her great-grandson, Amari Tiah of Mansfield, MA; and her loving sisters, Deborah Grace and Denise Grace-Singleton both of Boston, MA.

Her love, laughter, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Rest in Peace Karen.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, July 19th from 10am-11am at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 24 Pleasant Street, Brockton, MA followed by a funeral service at 11:00am.
