Karen Alice Sabbagh, 71, of Macomb, MI, formerly of Frederic, MI, passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2024 at home.
She was born on August 3, 1952 to Raymond and Natalie (Johnson) Weaver in Grayling, MI. Karen was raised in Frederic and graduated from Grayling High school in 1970. She was married to the love of her life Hilal Sabbagh for almost 43 years until his passing in 2021. She was an avid online shopper, loved dogs (especially her dog Toby), playing on her tablet, loved watching her day-time soaps, and liked her miniature knick-knacks. She loved going to the casino. She loved spending time with family and friends and would return to Frederic as often as possible to spend time with extended family. She was very kind and loving to her children, friends and everyone she encountered.
Karen is survived by her (Daughter) Angela Lyn Sabbagh and (Son) Nicholas Peter Sabbagh; brother, Steve (Liz) Weaver; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Hilal "Harry" Sabbagh, sister Linda Chism, and parents Raymond and Natalie Weaver.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 12:00 PM until the time of funeral service at 1:00 PM at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home, 1108 W North Down River Rd, Grayling, MI 49738. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Frederic, MI followed by a luncheon at the Frederic Community Center.
