STAR LAKE – Karen L. Watson, age 77, of Star Lake, passed away at home on April 28, 2025.
Her funeral service will be held at French Family Funeral Home in Star Lake on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
Karen was born on January 22, 1948 in Star Lake to the late Elwin and Cora (Miller) McBroom. She graduated from Clifton-Fine Central School and married Thomas Carl Watson on September 30, 1967 at St. Hubert's Catholic Church. Mr. Watson passed away on January 25, 2014.
Karen worked as a bus driver for Clifton-Fine Central School for many years. She enjoyed gardening, working on crafts, and loved Halloween and had a strong love for all animals.
She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Benjamin and Connie Watson and Jeremy and Tina Watson, her sister, Beverly Provost, four grandchildren, Shane, Emily, Amanda, and Nathan, three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Samantha, and Sophia. Her family wants to extend a special thanks to her good friend, Mark Dowling, Jr.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Thomas Watson, and siblings, Roger McBroom and Frieda Springstube.

Beverly and Family So sorry to hear about Karen. She was a good friend to all. God needed a special Angel so she had to go. RIP Karen and fly high with the Angels.
