Karen Willis, born on December 20, 1960, in New York, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, in Lawrenceville, GA. Known affectionately as "Grandmee," Karen was a devoted grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her grandkids, Shaunie, Kaylee, Ellie and Nicholas. She found immense joy in spoiling them and baking cookies, creating treasured memories that will last a lifetime.
Throughout her life, Karen was recognized for her intelligence, strength, and infectious laughter. She worked tirelessly, embodying a strong work ethic that inspired those around her. Her proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly her role as a grandmother, where she poured love and attention into her family, particularly relishing her son-in-law's cooking.
Karen believed in the power of faith, often reminding her loved ones to "Trust in God." She embraced life with a positive spirit, always encouraging others not to be sad upon her departure, as she felt she would become a guardian angel watching over them.
She is survived by her sister, Sharon, and her two daughters, Shardae and Ashley, who along with her grandchildren, will carry on her legacy of love and strength. The holidays were especially special to Karen, filled with laughter and family traditions that she held dear. Her impact on the lives of her family will be cherished forever, and she will be remembered fondly as a strong, intelligent woman who loved deeply.
