I received several gifts during my four years at Vandy. A big one was the privilege of getting to know Karin and Margaret. Karin has left a lasting impression on me. People still carry on about Princess Diana. In my view Karin much more impressive: beauty, intelligence, humour, wisdom, and compassion were all in abundance. My life still blessed by those memories. God bless you, Karin, Elizabeth, and Will.

I remember meeting Karin in law school and I was immediately taken by her classy manner...It came as no surprise that she chose the arts as a way of making a statement...Prayers and condolences to the family...

A bright and lovely light has gone out. A woman of effortless style and boundless grace, Karin would not suffer fools gladly but could make friends into family effortlessly.
We met in 1978 as first-year law students, and Karin instantly "mommed" most of our class -- and our spouses. Yet I remember telling her we could make a fortune if we could bottle the way she walked in leather pants.
I used to call her almost every time we made a vegetarian recipe she had made for a small group of us at what must have been our 20th law school reunion. She always seemed delighted to hear from me, and I will always regret not insisting that she come to Louisville to stay with Susan and me for a weekend.
I expected to grieve when I heard of Karin's death on some distant day -- but all I can muster now is joy and gratitude at having known her.

Although it made me sad, the write-up brought back memories of one of the most delightful people I ever knew. We were musical colleagues as well as party pals. Since I lost my talented wife recently my sympathy is with you. Sincerely,
