Karin Michelle (Nyhuis) Mehringer, 43, of Noblesville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 19, 2025, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Karin was born in Michigan to Guy and Nancy Nyhuis. She graduated valedictorian of Otsego High School in 2000, received a Bachelor’s of Accounting and Finance from Cedarville University in 2004, became a CPA shortly thereafter and obtained her MBA from Wright State University in 2012. Karin had a long tenure with AES Indiana, most recently serving as Corporate Controller.
She was a strong athlete, playing volleyball, basketball and soccer in high school; collegiate soccer; and post-college, a tri-athlete.
Karin’s life was dedicated to following Jesus and living for Him. This was evident by her genuine love and care for people. She led small group Bible studies in her home and was a member of College Park Church in Indianapolis.
Karin married Dustin Mehringer in 2023 and enjoyed date nights with him, game nights with family and friends, hiking, traveling and cheering on the Michigan Wolverines.
She is survived by her husband, Dustin Mehringer; children, Spencer and Elliott Mehringer; parents, Guy and Nancy Nyhuis; sister, Amy (Justin) Lindsey; brother, Jeff (Stacie) Nyhuis; mother in-law Anne Mehringer, sister-in-law Anden (Antonio) White and sister-in-law Erica (CJ) Boeckman; niece and nephews and several other family members.
She was preceded in death by Paul and Jennie Duran, Elvin and Ann Nyhuis, Dennis "Bucket" Mehringer, Luke Mehringer, Tim Nyhuis and Jean Nyhuis.
Her celebration of life service, with a lunch to follow, will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 11:30 am at College Park Church, 2606 W 96th Street in Indianapolis. Visitation will be that morning from 9:30 am until the time of service. Private family burial will take place.
