Karin Louise Morris

Karin Morris, of Tallahassee, FL, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on November 3rd after a courageous and spirited battle with cancer. She was 80.
Born on June 1, 1945, in Montgomery, WV, Karin was the daughter of a coal miner and carried the strength and resilience of her roots throughout her life. She graduated from Montgomery High School with stellar grades, earning a scholarship to attend West Virginia University Institute of Technology. She later received her bachelor's degree in mathematics and went on to earn a master's degree from Ohio State University.
After moving to Florida, Karin dedicated over 30 years of service to the State of Florida. She was a lifelong advocate for women's rights and a shining example of perseverance and grace. Her unwavering strength, compassion, and selflessness made her a role model and a rock for her family.
In retirement, Karin found immense joy in helping care for her grandchildren and watching them grow into remarkable individuals. Nothing brought her more happiness than being present in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
The beautiful memories Karin leaves behind will live on in our hearts forever. Her love, wisdom, and laughter will be deeply missed.
Karin is survived by her daughter Alison and son-in-law Wayne; her son Matthew and daughter-in-law Danica; and her cherished grandchildren Payton, Connor, and Skyler.
