Karl Rosell was a loving Father, Grandfather, an exceptionally talented artist, and a devoted lover of all of God's creations.
He spent 40 years working in the oil and gas industry, which allowed him to follow his passions wherever they took him during his retirement. He loved nature, from birds, to cats, and dogs. He was a man of many hobbies possessing an unlimited artistic ability. His passions ranged from making stained glass, to creating custom furniture, and his latest passion, crafting artistic water features. He added his own unique creativity and touch to anything he created. As a father and friend, he was always ready with a steady ear. His candid and loving advice was like a lighthouse that guides ships amid a raging tempest. There are not enough words to describe all his passions, hobbies, and characteristics to the degree which they deserve. If you were lucky enough to have known him, you would agree he will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his sister Barbara Johnstone, his son and daughter in-law Nicholas and Kim Shelburne. His two grandchildren Liam and Phebe. His nephews and niece, Aaron Johnstone, Aileen Johnstone, and Harry Johnstone. His cousins Michael Aielli, Kay Aielli, Jan Bennett, Joanna Hagemann, many loved family members, and his lifelong friend Rose Ann Kilpatrick.
A private family celebration of life will be held in Temple, TX on January 7th, 2025, with a following service in Chesapeake, VA.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you keep Karl's memory alive and find a creative passion to pursue.
Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with these arrangements.
