Karla Brandon Obituary
Karla Patrice Brandon departed this life Thursday the 12th of October 2023 in Lanham, MD. She was born to the late Ruby and Joseph Brandon in Plainfield, NJ. She attended the Plainfield Public School system. Karla relocated to Maryland where she lived for 38 years. She first lived in Green Belt, MD and at the time of her passing resided in Lanham, MD. It was in Green Belt that she was employed with the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Karla never married or had children of her own but had a hand in raising some of her nieces and nephews. She liked to watch old movies, play cards which she thought she was the best at. Karla had a love for food; Red Lobster, Red Tower and Texas Wiener.
Karla was preceded in death by her parents Ruby and Joseph Brandon; three sisters Leal, Andrea and Lloydette Brandon and one brother Clifton Brandon.
She leaves to mourn her loss sisters Phyllis Nelson (Von), Sonia Jenkins and Claudette "Nancy" Carey; one sister in law Stephany Brandon; one special nephew CC Brandon. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.

Karla living across the street from me and my family on West Fourth Street. Watching out for all the kids in the neighborhood. She was always tough but sweet with a beautiful smile.
My condolences to the Brandon and Schumann family for their loss.
