Karla Jo Chaney

Karla Jo Chaney, age 62, of Sabina, passed peacefully at home on Monday, January 19, 2026.

Born in Wilmington on August 2, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Mabel Jean ‘Grove’ (Jack) Rittenhouse and Dorsey (Jean) Wilson.

Karla is survived by her husband, Daniel Chaney. The two were united in marriage on July 20, 2019.

After graduating from East Clinton High School, Karla worked for the Clinton County Auditors Office for many years. She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed crafting, sewing, making hats, gardening and sunflowers. Karla was happiest spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Karla is survived by her children: Corey Vinion of Wilmington, Calen (Robbie Thompson) Vinion and Craig Vinion, all of Sabina; grandchildren: Austin Vinion, Ryleigh Wilt and Oliver Thompson; father, Dorsey (Jean) Wilson; and brother, Kelly (Peggy Browning) Wilson.

Karla was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, who raised her, Mabel Jean and Jack Rittenhouse.

Friends may call at the Sabina Church of Christ on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 11am until the time of service at 1pm. Burial will follow at Sabina Cemetery. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
