Karla Jo Parker of Lubbock passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the age of 63. She was born April 27, 1962, in Coshocton, Ohio to the late James and Betty Henderson. At a young age, the family moved to Odessa where she graduated from Permian High School. She was a skilled athlete excelling in track.
When she moved to Lubbock, Karla worked at Kmart for many years until they closed. She later became a clerk at various businesses close to home. She enjoyed puzzles and games but was very skilled at math spending hours working math equations.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Mary Jo White and husband David, Shnikia Rene Henderson, Charles Ray Henderson, and Ronnie Dale Manning, Jr.; siblings, Debbie Jean Henderson Petters, James Albert Henderson, Jr., and Verlie Delores Henderson Devore; eight grandchildren, Sheridan Cheyenne, David Lynn White, III, Dillon Lynn White, Jasmin Mari Henderson, Malakhi Lewis Ray McCreaven, Jean Henderson, Charles Ray Henderson, Jr. and Emily Henderson; two great-grandchildren, Dominic Samir Henderson and Kenzie Marie Forde; and nieces and nephews, Jeannie Evonn Henderson, Delores Dawn Baker, Kenneth Don Baker, Jr., Tamara Louise Wells, and Daniel Lynn Petters.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 am Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway.
