It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karlee Michelle Fielding, who fought a courageous battle with cancer and passed away on November 18, 2024. Karlee was born on December 26, 1972, in Battle Creek, Michigan, and lived a life that made a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Karlee is survived by her beloved daughter, Lauren Long (Sarasota, FL); her loving husband, Tim Fielding (Englewood, FL); her stepsons, Tucker Fielding (wife Jamie, Mountain Home Air Force Base, ID) and Wyatt Fielding (South Florida); and her brother, Bryan Smith (wife Jolynn, Battle Creek, MI), Stepfather, Chuck Gates (Kalamazoo, MI) She was preceded in death by her parents, Judi Gates and Ronald Smith.
A dedicated and hard-working professional, Karlee found success early in her career as a top mortgage broker with Countrywide Home Loans, where she made a significant mark in the industry. She later moved to Florida, where she became a sought-after real estate agent, helping families find their dream homes.
Outside of her professional accomplishments, Karlee's passions were wide-ranging. She was known for her high energy, her love for entertaining, and her talent for cooking delicious meals. She enjoyed social gatherings, boating on the water, shopping for the latest fashion trends, and a good laugh with friends and family. Karlee was the life of every party. She also found comfort in spending time with her dog, Bella, and loved her moments at the hair salon, always looking glamorous.
Karlee found strength and solace in her faith, reading from her Bible daily, a family heirloom passed down from her own mother. Her deep belief in God gave her peace and assurance, and she often spoke of the comfort she felt knowing she would one day be at rest in Heaven.
Karlee was an avid patriot who loved her country deeply and supported causes close to her heart. A standout athlete, she excelled in high school volleyball, basketball, and track, and went on to play collegiate volleyball at Glen Oaks Community College. Her competitive spirit and determination were evident in everything she did.
Above all, Karlee was a loving mother, daughter, wife, and friend. She was known for her quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and fierce loyalty to those she cared about. She had an incredible ability to bring out the best in others, inspiring everyone around her to be their best selves. Karlee's vibrant spirit and larger-than-life personality left an unforgettable impression, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
