The family of Karolyn E. McCarrell is saddened to announce her passing on January 21, 2025 at the age of 70.
Karolyn was born in Beaumont, Texas, on July 11, 1954. She proudly spent most of her life living in Port Neches, Texas, but was a resident of Port Arthur, Texas at the time of her death. She was known as Mama, Grammy, and Aunt Karolyn by all the kids who love her. She was always there for us through the years. She really enjoyed being a grandmother and her grandkids have lots of good memories growing up with her as their Grammy.
Everyone that knew Karolyn loved her and she loved everyone. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her children, Angie Harvey and husband Michael, Nicole Belanger and husband Chad, and Cody McCarrell, her grandchildren, Jada Jagneaux, Blake Belanger, Brianna Harvey, and Cameron Harvey. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and two sisters, Annie Urness and Joyce Jacob.
She is preceeded in death by her mother, Retha Allen, grandson, Spencer Allen, brothers, William Earl Allen, John Allen, sister, Lois Burch and two nieces Terry Osborne and Kathy Gallagher.
We would like to say thank you to the Amedysis Hospice team Denice and Kristiny for taking such great care of our mom.
A 1:00 PM funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches, with a gathering of family and friends from 11:00 Am until service time. Burial will be held at a later date.
