Kasey Alexis Hill Moore born November 9, 1973, age 50, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 6, 2024, after a brief bout with cancer. She was in hospice care at Jackson - Madison County General Hospital, Jackson, TN. She was surrounded with love from her family and friends and is at peace with the Lord.
A Memorial Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN with Aubrey Delashmit officiating. The family has chosen cremation and burial of her cremains will follow at the Zion Methodist Church Cemetery.
Kasey was a graduate of Skyview Academy in Memphis, TN. She worked for several years for Tipton County schools as a teachers’ aid in speech therapy. She was passionate about taking care of her family, and she loved to travel to the mountains in East TN. Friends described her as “artistic and free spirited.”
She is survived by her husband, Todd Moore of Covington, TN; two daughters, Mystery and Journey Moore of Covington TN; her parents, Mike and Kay Hill of Atoka, TN; a younger sister, Kerry Ann Hill Cabrera (Alex) (Noah and Jonas) of Millington, TN; a special sister-cousin, Lisa Conrad Hare (Justin and Kyle) of Knoxville, TN.
Kasey had a big extended family. As a result, she leaves behind two aunts, Pat Upchurch, Fortner (Jack) of Moody, TX, Illa Mae Matlock (Frank, deceased) a Brownsville, TN; one uncle, Ray Droke (Tammy) of Jackson, TN. She was proceeded in death by five aunts and three uncles, Laverne Haynes, Sue, Ann Conrad, Lynn Droke, all of Ripley, TN; Frances Lee and Wanda Faye Droke of Brownsville, TN; Harvey Gene Droke of Taylorsville, IL; Robert Dewayne Droke Portage IN.
Her extended family also included Todd's mother, JoAnn Moore (Charlie, deceased) of Jackson, MS; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and brothers-in-law from the state of MS.
She was a favorite cousin to Troy Upchurch (Laurie) (Troy Paul, Lucas, Suzannah) of Elizabethton, TN; Timothy Upchurch (Jenny, Austin & Harrison) of Memphis, TN; Jordan Droke (Amber, Layla) of Jackson, TN; Sonny Matlock (Cathy & Josh) of Brownsville, TN; David Matlock (Stephanie) of Brownsville, TN; Tony Ballard (Taylor & children) of Munford, TN; Chris Droke (Lori & Kailey) of Dyersburg, TN; Amanda Droke of Ripley, TN; Carol Hudson Ward (Russell) and William Hudson (Charlotte) of Brownsville, TN; Verna Rhea Funderburk (Ricky, Scotty) of Trimble, TN; Mike. Shelton (Angie) of Ripley, TN.
Reception to follow the burial at Zion Methodist Church.
