To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the sun. A time to be born and Katara T. Jamison was born on May 10, 1976, to Robbie A. Jamison and Robert J. Wiley in
Stuart, Florida. A time to plant and build up which from a young child Katara took this very seriously and spent her life pouring into others. Katara received her early education in the Martin County School System and graduated with honors with the Class of 1996. Katara had a very long professional career and was compassionate teacher and loving caregiver to the individuals that she provided life changing services too. She fully enjoyed what she did and simply wanted to brighten the lives of others and did everything with honesty and integrity. She had very strong values and was loved by many. Katara had a heart for people, she had incredible patience, and always made time to help others. Her legacy of love and service will carry on forever reminding us that we must do our part to make the world a better place.
A time to love and Katara enjoyed spending time with her family, loved ones and made friends wherever she went. She was a stranger to no one and found great purpose sharing in the successes, joys, and challenges of those around her. She was authentically and wholeheartedly there for those in her life. Everyone who knew her felt her big heart and giving nature. She provided refuge for many and would open up both her heart and home to anyone in need. A time to laugh which she did often. Her Facebook antics entertained many. She loved to surround herself with love and laughter. She had a playful spirit, and her smile would light up a room.
A time to weep as Katara transitioned from this side on January 28, 2023. She was preceded in death by her son Jonathan Jr (JJ), brother Robert Porter, Grandfather Robert L. Hall and her loving Grandparents Margie J. Rogers (Nanny) and Jimmie L. Rogers who helped raise her. Katara is survived by her mother, Robbie A. Jamison, father, Robert J. Wiley, sister, Emerald L. Jamison, nephew Caden C. Glover, daughters, Olivia Randall and Jaden Sullivan, brothers Rodney Dooley, Robert Wiley Jr, Derrick Queen and her many Godchildren and a host of extended family, friends and loved ones whose lives have been touched by her love, care and compassion.
Katara chose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service and would like to let all of her loved ones know that her work here is done. She received a call and an assignment that she could not refuse. We are sure the angels were rejoicing and she is at peace because she is now in a wonderful place where there is no more pain but music, love and laughter are guaranteed. There are no words that can express how much she will be missed but we are grateful and blessed to have loved her for forty-seven years. Life is truly a gift and Katara would encourage each of you to live life to its fullest. Take the time to tell someone that you love them. Be a hand that reaches out to help others. Be a smile for those who have no reason to smile. Be a light for those who live in darkness because as long as there is light, there is hope.
But those that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31.
