Kate Helen Dailey, 57, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away surrounded by family and friends on November 17, 2025, after a brief illness. Following her diagnoses, Kate was determined to live and fought with courage and resolve. Gone from us too soon, Kate’s spirit lives on and will continue to inspire and uplift us.

Kate was born on January 27, 1968, to John (Jack) and Beth Dailey in Toledo, Ohio. While her early years were spent in Ohio, Kate began a series of moves with her family which took her to Georgia, New Jersey and California. Perhaps this is where her love of travel and adventure began. Kate attended The University of Georgia and received her MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University. Kate built a successful business career which began with International Paper in Memphis, Tennessee. She later spent several years living and working in Krakow, Poland and finished her career in Cincinnati, Ohio. Along the way, Kate collected dear friends.

Family, friends, flowers, cooking and travel were among Kate’s greatest passions. Combine these ingredients and the recipe was sure to be even sweeter and more beautiful! Kate will be remembered for her fervent love and loyalty to family and friends. She was a devoted daughter and shared her love of travel with Beth and Jack for as long as they were able; London, Venice and Spain among her favorite destinations. In recent years, Kate’s devotion turned to loving and attentively caring for her aging parents. Kate’s five nieces and nephews and their growing families were the “apples of Kate’s eye.” Kate was delighted to host each one individually in early years and always prioritized time with them. She took a special interest in their favorite things, whether sports, dolls, music, educational or career pursuits. Everyone should be so lucky to have an Aunt Kate! “Friends are family you choose,” and Kate’s family grew to include friends around the globe. She delighted in sharing her favorite destinations with the people she loved. From flowers beautifully arranged by Kate to the delicacy of a dinner party prepared and hosted by Kate, she appreciated and created beauty all around her. Kate had a unique way of making the people in her life feel noticed and special.

Kate loved fiercely and will be missed by her beloved mother, Beth Bullard Dailey; siblings Sean (Janine) Dailey, Kim (Tom) Hoffman, and Shannon (Katy) Dailey; nephews Scott (Katie) Hoffman, Tim (Emily) Hoffman, and Jack Dailey; nieces Sarah (Will) Stacy, and Hana Dailey; great nieces/nephews Penelope, Corrine, Eloise, Helen, Holden and Robin; many aunts, uncles, cousins and very dear friends. She is preceded in death by her father, John Henry Dailey III.

A gathering to honor Kate and celebrate her life will be held in January. Memorial donations can be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or give the gift of flowers to someone you love in Kate’s honor. Expressions of sympathy or personal remembrances may be sent to Kate’s family, 5855 Wyndam Ln, Brighton, MI 48116.
