Kathaleen Willis Obituary

She was a 1953 graduate of Huttig High School and was a four year lettered basketball guard. Upon graduation, she moved to Crossett and has been married to the love of her life since 1954. They celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on April 16, 2025. She attended First Free Will Baptist Church where she was the Sunday School Secretary for 53 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Roy Connor and one sister, Orell Walden.
Survivors include her husband, Edgar Glen Willis; one son, Terry Willis (Cindy) of Holcomb, MS; one daughter, Chris Austin of Monticello, AR; three grandchildren, Melissa Willis, Sunni Willis, and Lindsey Barton (Jeff); three great grandchildren, Josie Mowers, Caroline Barton and Ben Barton; a special niece, Deb Menapace along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at First Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Boseman and Bro. Joey Johnson officiating. Pallbearers are James Connor, Jeff Barton, Tim Menapace, Michael Menapace, Dennis Rice, Rusty Josey, Rusty Little. Honorary pallbearers are Herman Johnson, Juan Rabb, Andrew Wallace, Danny Barton, Tommy Hollis, Klint Connor, Bob Edmondson and Allen Hall.
Interment is in Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR.
Visitation is at the church on Tuesday, August 19th from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
