Bobby Frank Carter

Bobby Frank Carter, age 76, of Crossett, AR, went on to join Jesus on Thursday evening, August 14, 2025.

He was born May 10, 1949 to his parents, Clinton George Carter and Berty Carter. He graduated from Crossett High School as Class of 1967. After high school, Bobby served in the U.S Air Force. He also worked at Georgia Pacific as a pipefitter for 34 years before retiring in 2001. In his younger years, Bobby enjoyed working on vehicles around his farm, being outside, and spending time with friends. After retirement he found that he enjoyed working on clocks, a love he gained from his late uncle Jack. He also found enjoyment in playing golf and watching the Arkansas Razorbacks play football each weekend with one of his good friends, Bo Chisholm. Bobby looked forward to travelling with Bo each year to Texas, to attend the clock show. Hunting for antiques and beautiful clocks is how he met his beloved wife, Penny. Bobby loved his wife and best friend, Penny and was the best father and pawpaw to his kids and grands. Bobby always made sure that his family did not want for anything. He had his faithful dog and sidekick, Lucy by his side most of the time, who was his best "good girl". Bobby loved his family more than anything and enjoyed every minute spent with each one of his children and grandchildren. If you met Bobby, you would never forget his friendly demeanor and wit. He was always the light in any room. Bobby Carter (pawpaw) was dearly loved by anyone who he crossed paths with.

Bobby is survived by his faithful life partner of almost 21 years, Penny Carter, of Crossett Arkansas; four children, Staci Tumey, of Crossett Arkansas, Dana Reitzammer and husband, Richard Reitzammer of West Monroe, Louisiana, Greggory Carter of Banks, Arkansas and Jamie Sims, wife, Kristen Sims of Monroe, Louisiana. Bobby is also survived by six grandchildren, Savannah Jones, (Shane), Natalie Coker, Emma Reitzammer, Ali Tumey, Olivia Sims, Elliot Sims and Summer Carter and one great grandchild, Mason Jones; Siblings, Jean Carter, Peggy Henderson, Terri Haygood, Tommy Nichols, Mike Carter, George Carter and Jerry Carter along with a bonus daughter, Julie Morden.

A celebration of his eventful life will be held at Jones Funeral Home on August 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. followed by USAF Military Honors at Carter Cemetery on Hwy 52.

Pallbearers are David Tumey, Richard Reitzammer, Jamie Sims, Kenny Morden, Luke Crocker, Parker Shipley. Honorary pallbearers are Elliot Sims and Bo Chisholm.

Visitation will be held on Aug. 16, 2025 from 4pm-6pm at Jones Funeral Home.
