Katherine Sue Clark/Goetz, 62, a resident of Lake Villa, IL, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Integrated Hospice in Libertyville, IL surrounded by family. She was born March 8, 1963 in Waukegan, IL to Tommy and Juanita (nee: Hurlburt) Palbitska.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 20 years, Art Goetz, to whom she wed on April 30, 2005 in Vernon Hills, IL, her daughter Melissa (Julio) Jennings of Round Lake, IL, and her siblings Pamela (Kenneth) Hassenplug of Michigan, Randy (Lynette) Palbitska of Illinois, Michael Palbitska of Illinois, and Lory (Doug) Adams of Illinois and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Kathy when not working in finance enjoyed cooking, gardening, ceramics and all crafts. She was always ready to lend a hand, cared deeply for others, and made it a priority to check in on family and friends with kindness and compassion.
A memorial visitation and service will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm with the service commencing at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
