Mrs. Katherine Howard Coleman, age 92, of Nicholasville, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at her home.
Mrs. Coleman, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Francis Howe Howard, was born in Madison County on January 31, 1933. She had worked at Zandale Cleaners and Hart Dry Cleaning and Laundry in Lexington. For over 30 years, she lived in Sunrise, Florida; she loved being where it was warm. Katherine enjoyed antiques and attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons: Rev. Bradley Clay Howard, Sr. of Nicholasville and William "Bill" Howard of Miami, Florida, four grandchildren: Annabelle (& Johnathan) Hopkins, Shannon Bradley Howard, Bradley Clay Howard, Jr. and Ryan Lewis Cravens Smith and ten great grandchildren: Autumn (& Brandon) Drew, J.J. Hopkins, Holton Hopkins, Kaitlyn (& Michael) Jennings, Cheyenne Howard, Winter Howard, Kailey Smith, McKinley Smith, Delaney Smith and Elsey Smith.
Mrs. Coleman was also preceded in death by her son, Howard Jewell "Bit" Coleman, one daughter: Tyler Elizabeth Lewis, one brother: Bradley Howard and one grandson, Timothy Howard.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, February 17, 2025, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Jay Webb and Rev. Bradley C. Howard, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Howard, Bradley C. Howard, Jr., Ryan Smith, Johnathan Hopkins, J. J. Hopkins, and Michael Jennings.
