Mrs. Fisher retired as a Clinic Manager from Duke University Health System with over 38 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed going to Williamsburg, VA, loved the beach, beach music/dancing and decorating for the holidays. Katherine cherished her grandchildren, loving them dearly, and was excitedly awaiting the arrival of her first great grandson.
Mrs. Fisher is survived by her husband, Gary Fisher; son, John Alan Fisher and wife, Brenda; brothers, Robert Daniel Copeland, Jr. and wife, Donna; Thomas Graham Copeland and wife, Judy; grandchildren, Hannah Brooke Fisher, Brenton Alan Fisher, and Jonathan Gavin Fisher.
Katherine was a beautiful person both inside and out. Her smile and laughter could light up the whole room. She cared deeply for all her family and friends. She will be forever missed.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 31st at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham. The family will receive friends prior from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

Katherine was a Beautiful lady. She and I had so much fun dancing at Callie & Reece´s Wedding. She said her shoes hurt her feet, but didn´t want to go home to change them because the ones she had on were too cute. She was a Gorgeous Princess. Rest well sweet lady. May God continue to give Peace and comfort.
