Katherine "Kathy" V. Heter, age 60, of Fremont, OH, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, OH. Kathy was born January 23, 1965, in Fremont, the daughter of Jim Dorobek and the late Patricia (Moran) Dorobek.
Kathy spent her life taking care of her friends and loved ones. Not a day went by where she didn't put others' needs in front of her own. She always went out of her way to help anyone in need, whether it was a simple favor, a helping hand, or being there for someone just to talk to. Her kindness, generosity and care for others had no bounds.
Kevin, her kids and grandkids were her whole world and the source of her greatest joy. Her biggest aspiration in life was to be a mother. She loved the Great Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. She loved camping and having a good time. She was an animal lover, always bringing in strays and making sure they were fed.
She will forever be missed, but the love she gave will live on in all those whose lives she touched.
In addition to her father, Kathy is survived by her husband, Kevin Heter of Fremont, whom she married November 10, 1990; children: Mandi Dorobek of Clyde, Brandi (Paul) Miller of Downers Grove, IL, and Zachariah (Brooke) Heter of Bellevue, and; grandchildren: Devrin and Keagan Heter, Dalton Miller, Mason and Maylee Cordes, and another on the way, Everly Miller; siblings: Jeanette Dorobek of Clyde, Bobby Dorobek of Fremont, Marla Tille-Hammons of Gibsonburg, and Belva Herdman of Lancaster.
In addition to her mother, Kathy is preceded in death by her siblings: Sylvia Maines and James Dorobek.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 2-5:00pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. Following the celebration of life, friends and family are welcome to gather for food and drinks at the Clyde Moose Lodge from 5-7:00pm.
