Katherine Lamb Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Magner Funeral Home, Inc. - Norwalk on Mar. 8, 2026.
Katherine "Kathy" Rosemarie Lamb of Norwalk, a lifelong resident, passed away peacefully after a long illness. She was the beloved daughter of the late Joe and Nancy (Andronaco) Bilardi and was predeceased by her siblings, Joe Bilardi of Fort Worth, TX, and Lorraine Mecca of Norwalk. She is survived by her brother Tony Bilardi and wife Debbie of Novato, CA, and her brother-in-law Frank Mecca of Norwalk.

She was the adoring and devoted wife of Jerry Lamb, with whom she shared 63 wonderful years of marriage. Their love was extraordinary. You could see it in the way they looked at each other, a rare connection.

Kathy was a loving and devoted mother to Jerry Lamb and his wife, Nancy, of Reading, MA, and Nancy Lamb Ruther and her husband, Brian, of Norwalk. She gave so much of herself to her children, always putting their needs first and celebrating every milestone. Her home was a place of warmth and support where her children always felt loved and cherished.

She was a caring grandmother to Jared Lamb and his partner, Haleigh Patch, of Wakefield, MA; Kasey Rasimowicz and her husband, Matthew, of Pepperell, MA; Thomas Lamb of Reading, MA; Brian Ruther Jr. of Norwalk; and Zach Ruther of Tampa, FL. She was a proud great-grandmother to Tara and Miller Rasimowicz. She shared a special bond with her niece Lorianne (Mecca) Wolfe, her husband, Kerry Wolfe, and her grand-nephew Ryan Wolfe.

Kathy was deeply loved by her extended family, including her in-laws and many cherished nieces and nephews, as well as her longtime neighbors and her tight group of high school friends. Once you were Kathy's friend, you were a friend for life.

A dedicated and hardworking woman, Kathy worked at Briggs Tire for more than 30 years, where she was known as a kind, loyal and dependable employee who took great pride in her work.

Outside of work, Kathy generously gave her time to others, regularly volunteering at Marvin Elementary School. A devoted Christian and long-time parishioner of St. Matthew's Church, she faithfully attended services each week and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Kathy will also be remembered for the warmth and care she brought to her home. She made her home beautiful, sewing curtains and keeping it spotless. She welcomed everyone and delighted in sharing meals, often feeding unexpected guests at her table. An excellent cook and baker, she expressed her love through the meals and treats she prepared for family and friends. A natural caretaker, she devoted her life to caring for others.

Above all, Kathy lived for her husband, children and grandchildren. They were the center of her world, and nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with them. She will be missed and remembered by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Friday March 13, 2026 from 8:30 – 9:30 am at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave. Norwalk CT. There will be a Mass immediately following at St. Matthews Church, 216 Scribner Ave. Norwalk followed by interment at St. Johns Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave. Norwalk.
