Terri Layne Lamb

Terri Layne Lamb, age 71, of Sophia passed away February 21, 2026 at her home. She was born September 1, 1954 in High Point, North Carolina the daughter of the late Ray Allen Bryant and Nira Jean Davis Bryant.

Terri's life was a symphony of cherished moments and passions. A dedicated professional, she spent her career in telecommunications, culminating with her time at General Dynamics. Beyond work, Terri embraced a myriad of interests that brought her joy and fulfillment. Her love for riding horses and the thrill of speed skating highlighted her adventurous spirit as a young woman. Shopping offered her a delightful escape, while music resonated deeply with her soul. Driving along open roads, accompanied by the melodies of Fleetwood Mac, Lana Del Rey, Adele, and John Denver, was where she found true freedom and solace. Above all, Terri's heart belonged to her grandchildren. Her world revolved around nurturing and raising her beloved grandsons, her dedication to their care unparalleled. Terri's legacy is one of love, adventure, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear. She will be remembered fondly and missed profoundly by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Laura Breanne Lamb; grandchildren, Aiden Ray Lamb, Avery Lamb, Atlas Levi Dawson and Nathan Lamb; sister, Tammy Bowdenhamer; brother, Tony Bryant; and numerous other beloved family and friends.

A private celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

A celebration of life will be held 6:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Midstate Cremation & Funeral Service, 304 Lanier Avenue, Asheboro NC 27203 with Reverend Ernest Beck officiating.

Terri cared for her two grandchildren, even as her health decline. The family requests memorial donations be made to the Terri Lamb Fund which will assist the children as they navigate building a new life.
