Mrs. Katherine Smith, age 66 of Cannon departed this life on Thursday, January 29, 2026. She was the wife of Arvin Smith and the daughter of Beve Tuttle and Gladys (Mills) Tuttle born to them on April 3, 1959.
Katherine and Arvin were united in marriage on May 27, 1986. She is survived by her husband, Arvin; daughter, Sheila Ann Cockerham and husband Todd; her beloved granddaughters, April and Abigail; sister, Reda; and niece, Heather. Kathy was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith, and she spent her days caring for her family, whom she loved deeply. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, and gratitude and love for her family.
Funeral services for Katherine Smith will be held at the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. James Vandy officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Smith-Tuttle Cemetery at Cannon.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday just prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.
