KATHERINE (KAITI) SPATHIS
Kaiti Spathis passed away peacefully at Doctors Community Rehabilitation and Patient Care Center in Lanham, Maryland on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Kaiti was born on June 10, 1934 in Mikro Xorio, Greece to Xristos and Konstantina Mastrogeorgopoulos. Kaiti married Lukas in Athens on November 26, 1959. A few years later Kaiti and Lukas moved to the United States to join her brothers. Maryland became their new home.
Kaiti was a devout Christian and loyal friend. She always had a smile and positive attitude towards everyone. She loved her church, her friends and mostly loved her family. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her two boys, her beloved grandchildren and adored great granddaughters.
She is survived by her children Dimitri and Chris, two beautiful grandchildren Amanda and Lukas, as well as her brother Stefanos (Dina) of Martinez, California. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and their families as well as numerous friends. Kaiti was preceded in death by her husband Lukas, her parents Xristos and Konstantina; her brother Peter and his wife Rinoula, her brother Leonidas (Maria), her brother Elles and her nephew Dean. Kaiti will be missed by her family and all those who knew her as a loyal, kind, and considerate friend. Visitation at Saint Theodore's Greek Orthodox Church, 7101 Cipriano Road, Lanham, Maryland from 10:30-11:00 on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Internment immediately following service at Saint Demetrios Cemetary, Annapolis, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Kaiti's memory may be made to her beloved church.
