Katherine "Katie" Pauline Marcus
August 17, 1997 ~ April 3, 2014
Katie was born on August 17, 1997 and Taylor was born on January 7, 2002. They were both born in Ogden, Utah to their parents Justin Taylor and Amy Elizabeth Erekson Marcus.
Katie was a teenage girl and full of life. She was very responsible and a loving friend to all those that knew her. She was a sophomore at Bonneville High School. She was an honor student and was nominated as Laker of the Month in academics. She was known in our family as "Katie Bug" or "Katie H." for her loving hugs. Katie had gorgeous eyes and a big beautiful smile. She was a compassionate competitor who played on the Bonneville High School Girls Basketball team. She also excelled in running, and ran the 100 meter for the track team. She had a fierce love for baseball; the Red Sox were her favorite team. She adored Finding Nemo and her favorite treat was chocolate. She loved spending time with her mom. Especially when they could sneak in secret shopping and lunch dates together.

Taylor Zane Marcus
January 7, 2002 ~ April 3, 2014
Taylor was happy, loving, and very polite. He always told people "Love you". He had an enormous love for animals especially dogs and cats. He was a 6th grade student at H. Guy Child Elementary School. You never saw Taylor without a football or basketball in his hands. He played basketball for the Jr. Jazz. He also played football for the South Ogden Jets. He was quick on his feet and his coach called him the team's "lockdown corner" and "sticky hands". Taylor loved hunting and this fall would have been his first chance at bagging his own elk. He enjoyed and looked forward to camping trips with his dad and grandpa Terry; he was truly their best friend.
~~~~~~~
They were always together and so protective of one another. They loved being wild and crazy with their cousins and enjoyed spending time with extended family. The love they shared with their parents was truly beautiful.
~~~~~~~
Katie and Taylor are survived by their parents, Justin and Amy; grandparents, Terry and Lorie Marcus; Al and Nezla Erekson; Gundi McClarin and Roger Haven; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and their pets: Tinkerbell, Boo, and Tweety. They were met in heaven by their grandma, Linda Marcus; and their dog and lifetime companion Roxy.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
