Katherine Elizabeth "Kitty" Wooldridge McKinstry

Katherine "Kitty" Elizabeth Wooldridge McKinstry, 79, of Midland, GA died Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 28, 2022 at Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Akin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A private interment will be held at Pierce Chapel Cemetery.
Kitty was born October 6, 1943 in Columbus, GA to the late Dr. James M. Wooldridge II and Delaney Buchanan Wooldridge. Kitty attended Columbus College and graduated from the Medical Center School of Radiology as a Radiologic Technologist. During Kitty's working career, she worked at the Medical Center as well as in a physician's office and secretary for St John United Methodist Church. Her joy in life was keeping her grandchildren when they were young. She enjoyed spending time at the River Roost, their place on Lake Harding as well as the beach.
She was a member of Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church, the United Women of Faith, various other positions and boards at the church, sang in the choir and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Kitty was a Charter member of the Columbus State University Tower Society. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jimmy McKinstry of Midland, GA, sons, Mark McKinstry (Kim) of Cataula, GA, Chris McKinstry (Kelly) of Columbus, GA, sister, Sara Bankhead of Midland, GA, brother, James Wooldridge, III of Midland, GA, grandchildren, Hayley, Carter, Ross, Wes and Kate McKinstry.
