Kathleen Wiles Absher

Kathleen Wiles Absher, 95, of Concord, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Kathleen was born June 21, 1929 in Wilkes County, North Carolina to the late James Vestal Wiles and the late Ethel Wiles. 

She was also preceded in death by husband, Lloyd Absher, who passed away 34 years ago at the age of 64 and her son Keith Waddell, who passed away 28 years ago at the age of 44.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 11:45 am, Friday, June 28, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow on Friday at 12:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord officiated by Michael Waddell. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis at Hwy. 29N at I85, Exit 58, Concord.

Survivors include son, Michael Waddell and wife, Robin of Concord, NC; granddaughters, Samantha Osborne and husband, Ryan of Asheville, NC, Ashlie Boyd of Concord, NC; and great-granddaughter, Riley.

She is also survived by children, Sherry Loan and husband, Bill of Concord, NC and Jeff Absher and wife Nancy; grandchildren, Sheresa Lacey and husband, Jeff of Greensboro, NC; Shasta Engle and husband, Ken of Concord, NC, and Rickey Barbee and wife, Angie of Concord, NC; Lauren Fast and husband Lee, Garrett Absher and wife Brittany; great-grandchildren, Cole, Ava, Leara, Hala, Kensington and Griffin, River, and Josie. 

Kathleen was a favorite mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. She was part of a big family and loved them all dearly. Kathleen appreciated every day of life and lived it to its fullest.
