West Springfield
Kathleen T (Welch) Baker, 85, of West Springfield, passed away March 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Worcester, July 28, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (O'Toole) Welch. Kathleen was a graduate of West Springfield High School class of 1958 and has been on the reunion committee since 1983. She worked in the banking industry for many years retiring from ARRHA Credit Union. She was a communicant of St Thomas Church. She leaves her beloved husband of 65 years, Robert L. Baker, her beloved daughters, Ellen Lowell Glosick and her husband Donald Polonis and Laura Slowick and her husband Timothy Slowick, her loving grandchildren, Matthew, Jesslyn, Andrew, Leanne and Riley and her 7 great grandchildren whom she adored. Kathleen's Funeral Mass will be Monday, March 9, 2026, at 12 noon at St Thomas Church 47 Pine St West Springfield with burial to follow in St Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday 10:30-11:30AM at the Toomey-O'Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St West Springfield. Donations may be made to Baystate Hospice 30 Capital Drive West Springfield, MA 01089.
