Kathleen (Burke-Yates) Claypoole, 78 of Brockway, PA (formerly New Kensington PA) passed away on 02/16/2026 in her home surrounded by family. Born on 01/23/1948 to Eugene and Alma Burke in New Kensington, PA. Kathleen from early childhood loved animals and frequently collected them. She loved to sing in her church choir, riding horses, gardening, canning and of course cooking. She started many organizations including 'Viewers Against Violence' and 'The Friends and Neighbors of Cherie Mahan'. She worked closely with The Center for Missing and Exploited Children, The Pennsylvania State Police, as well as various others including:FBI, congressman, senators and many media outlets. She also excelled as a senior office manager at several facilities. However the accomplishment She held most pride in was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene Burke and Alma (Burke) Aupperl, her sisters Shelley Burke-Powell and Maureen Horansky, as well as her husbands Donald Delotto and James (Barry) Claypoole. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Colleen (James) Beatty, grandson McCain (Sylvia) Beatty, granddaughter TaraFae (Jacob Barnett) Burke, and grandson Cullen Beatty. She will also be remembered by great grandchildren Jordyn, Milo, Murphy, Maverick and Ava. As well as she is survived by son Bradley L. Yates and family. Friends will be welcome Friday February 20, 2026 from 10am-12noon with service immediately following at Ross G Walker Funeral Home New Kensington PA.
