Kathleen "Jo" Copenhaver

Kathleen "Jo" Copenhaver was born December 16, 1935, in Three Forks, Montana to parents Russell Thom Flint and Lottie Hannah Flint. She passed away November 18, 2025, at her home in Redmond, Oregon at the age of 89 years. Jo was raised and attended school in Montana, graduating from Alberton High School in 1954. After graduation, she attended Beauty school in Seattle, Washington and upon graduating she opened a beauty shop in Thompson Falls, Montana.

She then moved to Redmond, Oregon when her parents and younger sister relocated to the area. Jo and her sister Charlotte moved to the big city of Portland where Jo started working for US Bank, a company she would eventually retire from.

In 1965 she married Dick Hughes. Dick passed away shortly after they married due to a work related accident. On December 27, 1969, she married John Copenhaver. They had a daughter Amy and later divorced.

Jo enjoyed traveling, riding horses, hunting and fishing especially with her life partner and her best friend Ben Woodward. They spent all their time together until Ben's death in 1995. She also enjoyed taking walks, Zumba and playing pickleball.

For many years, Jo was the main care support to her parents until their passing in 2011 and 2021. The family is forever grateful for her caring nature.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a niece and a great granddaughter.

She is survived by her daughter Amy Copenhaver Ogden and husband Ryan of Redmond, Oregon, grandsons Joe and Nicholas, her brother Fred Flint and wife Joy of Pony, Montana, her sister Charlotte Holland of Canby, Oregon, and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on what would have been Jo's 90th birthday. Family and friends are invited to Jo's home: 3099 SW Cascade Vista Dr. Redmond, Oregon 97756

December 16, 2025, at 6:00 pm. Disposition was by cremation and her remains will be buried in Pony, Montana.
