Kathleen Elizabeth Cronin, 89, of Troy, Michigan passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024.
Kathleen "Kay" Cronin was born on September 14, 1935, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Kathleen Dubeck. She married Richard Thomas Cronin, and the two started a family. She was blessed with six children, 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one on the way. She was also a devoted sister and friend to all who crossed her path.
When her children were young, Kay stayed at home and was the true matriarch of her family. She was always independent, strong, but gentle woman. She enjoyed her friendships and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Kay also loved her tree-lined yard, feeding the squirrels and the birds, and watching the Detroit Tigers. But most of all, Kay enjoyed seeing her family every chance she could. She will be truly missed.
Beloved wife of the late Richard for 57 years. Loving mother of Tim Cronin (Debi), Sarah Cronin, Chris Cronin (Michele), Dr. Patrick Cronin (Monique), and the late Susan Robotnik (Jerry), and the late Rick Cronin. Devoted grandmother of Stephanie (fiancé Ryan), Sean, Collin (Alex), Mary, Alli, Sophie, Zoe, Roger, Georgia, and Greyson. Proud great-grandmother of Ellody, plus one on the way. Dear sister of Joe Dubeck (the late Seija) and Paul Dubeck (Lynn).
Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 2:00 pm-5:00 pm at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Road, Troy, MI 48084.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 4571 John R. Road, Troy, MI 48085. Visitation begins at the church at 9:30 am.
