Kathleen Marie Dann

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. On Monday April 15, 2024 Kathleen Marie Dann, age 60, of Cheboygan, MI passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Anchorage, Alaska on June 9, 1963, to Donald Wehmeyer and Genevieve Gobert. She grew up in Gwinn, MI, graduating from Gwinn High School.
Kathy met the love of her life, Timothy Dann, in 1983 at Teysens Restaurant in Mackinaw City. Excited to start their new lives together, the two married that same year on November 12, 1983. They moved to Texas in 1985 then back to Cheboygan, MI with their family in 1991. Kathy worked at H&H Tube Forming for many years up until their closure.
Kathy loved her boys more than anything. In fact, her boys often referred to her as Mama Bear; her boys were her world and if anyone crossed them, she made sure they heard about it. She was a great spouse, mother, and friend, but one of her favorite roles was being a nana. She wore all her titles proudly and cherished the time she spent getting her family together for gatherings, whether it was at home, on the water, or a short trip out of town. She cherished spending time with her four grandsons, and she spoiled them every chance she got, never failing to get them together for adventures like rock picking and geocaching, sleepovers, and just all-around good fun. Ensuring her family remained close was most valued by Kathy.
Everyone that knew Kathy knew how much she loved arts and crafts, and rock picking adventures. She was a woman of many talents, often gifting her creations to family and friends as well as others. To receive them was a treasure, whether it was a sentimental homemade card, dishcloth, or decoration for the house.
Kathy will always be remembered for her kindness, unwavering love, smile that remained with her until the end, and her ability to shine bright even in the darkest of days. We couldn't have asked for a better spouse, mom, nana, sister, and friend and we will greatly miss her every day. Kathy's memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her and had the privilege of knowing her.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Timothy Dann, her three sons, Ryan (Tabitha), Josh (Jaime), and Justin, four grandsons, Channce, Owen, Jaxon, and Tucker, and three brothers, Dave (Jan) of Gwinn, MI, Curtis of St. Paul, MN, and Stephen of Ann Arbor, Ml. She also leaves behind many close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Per Kathy's wishes, there will be no funeral services. Instead, we invite you to join us in celebrating Kathy's life through cherished memories and reflections. Your thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated during this time of mourning.
