A long-time member of Hartford's Central Baptist Church, where she had served as moderator, Kay subsequently became an active member of Center Church in Hartford.
Kay and Bob enjoyed traveling both in the United States and abroad, touring in Mexico, Central America, Europe and the British Isles, as well as in Egypt and China. She treasured time spent with good friends and especially with cherished family.

I have known and LOVED Kay since I was 12 years old (now 66 years ago). She was the college roommate of my older sister, Sally. We spent so many special times and life events together, but the most thrilling adventure Kay, Sally and I shared was our incredible summer long trip to Europe in 1964 (a trip Kay and Sally had saved for and researched for three years prior to setting sail for Scotland in July. This voyage, filled with unparalleled Joy, Exploration, Laughter, and Learning of other cultures was totally enthralling. But this special time with Kay was just one of many beautiful experiences we shared over a lifetime. Kay will live in my Heart forever.
