Kathleen D. Dragos

Beautiful soul, loving mother, sister, and grandmother.
Kathleen D. Dragos, 79, of Nutley, departed this life on January 17, 2025. Born in Orange, NJ, she was a lifelong resident of Nutley. Kathleen was the daughter of the late Ludwig Troisi and Yolanda Cappabianca. She graduated from Nutley High School in 1963 and studied for several years at the Latin American Institute to become a translator. Kathy made her career as an Immigration Manager for Hoffman La Roche in Nutley before retiring in 2009. She was also the proud owner of Washington Park Tavern.
Kathy was a generous and fun-loving person who deeply valued her lifelong friendships and her family. She always made time for her children. Kathy enjoyed cooking and also caring for her garden, and had a love for animals. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she spent as much time with them as she could. She was a dedicated and loving mom, who will be missed greatly by her children. She is survived by her daughters Karla Polifrone and Rachel Alipui, along with their spouses Michael Polifrone and Olivier Alipui; her stepchildren Kathi, Donna, and Anthony Dragos; her sisters Patricia Fabiano and Maryann Mendolla and their spouses Ronald Fabiano and Andy Mendolla; her grandchildren Adeline, Benjamin, Olivia, Elisabeth, Emma, Jacqueline, Garrett, Taylor, and Natalia; and four great grandchildren. Kathy is predeceased by her long-time companion Calvin "Pete" Postlewait and her former husband Anthony Dragos.
Visitors will be received at S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, January 23 from 5:00-8:00 pm.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 24,2025 at 10:30 am at Holy Family Church, Nutley, NJ.
The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield, NJ.
