Kathleen 'Kathy' A. Fraaza, age 68 of Ringle, passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, with her two sons by her side.
Kathy was born on March 25, 1954, in Wausau, the daughter of Ralph and Mabel (Dehnke) Gaulke.
On December 8, 1979, Kathy was united in marriage to Ivan Fraaza in Wausau. He preceded her in death on November 18, 2012.
Kathy was employed at the Sunset Cheese Factory, which is where she met Ivan, before staying at home and raising her two sons, Brandon and Dustin.
Kathy opened her own ice cream shop, 'Fraaza's Frosty Freeze', in Hatley, which she very much enjoyed operating and visiting with friends.
Kathy loved to socialize and share laughter with family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling, as Kathy and Ivan and friends traveled to many locations, with her favorite spot being St. Kitts. Through her lifetime she gathered an immense circle of wonderful friends. Kathy was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was very proud of her sons. She will leave a big void in our hearts. Kathy was a member of Covenant Community Presbyterian Church, Rothschild.
Survivors include her two sons, Brandon (Stacey Haase) Fraaza and Dustin (Leslie Sedivy) Fraaza, both of Ringle; grandson, Benjamin Ivan Fraaza; brothers, Harlan and Glen; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey (Gail) Fraaza, Lester (Joan Wawrzaszek) Fraaza and a special friend, Ray Matsche along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; parents, Ralph and Mabel Gaulke and sisters, Susan and Rose.
Kathy's wishes were to have a 'Celebration of Life'. Please join our family on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Kluck's Callon Saloon in Weston, from 4:00 pm to close. Food and refreshments will be provided. A graveside service will be held for the family at Forestville Cemetery at a later date.
A big 'Thank You' to Ray for showing Mom a great time for six years and taking such good care of her. We miss you Mom, Grandma, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and the world's most wonderful friend.
