Kathleen Ann Gray
January 28, 1948 – October 27, 2025
Kathleen Ann Gray, beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend, was called back home on October 27, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on January 28, 1948, in Waukegan, Illinois, as the cherished daughter of Alfonse and Doris Conrad.
Kathleen was the devoted mother of Stephanie Thompson and of the late Brian Thompson, who were her pride and joy. She was the proud grandmother of her smart and talented granddaughter, Tori Thompson. She is survived by her dearly loved sister Ruth McQueeney, and her brother-in-law, Joe McQueeney. Her extended family included her dear sister-in-law, Sis Eash, and brother-in-law, Babe Eash, with whom she shared many treasured memories.
With a career spanning 52 remarkable years as a flight attendant, she traveled the world, and visited many countries. Her journeys brought her countless friendships, and endless memories. Yet, her greatest passion was always helping people-whether offering a comforting word, lending a hand in times of need, or simply sharing her warmth with those around her.
She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid gardener, marveling at life and all of God's creation. Her home was filled with the companionship of her beloved pets, each one holding a special place in her heart.
An enthusiastic treasure hunter, Kathleen loved antiquing and searching for that "diamond in the rough" at estate and garage sales. She delighted in finding a bargain and cherished each unique find.
Kathleen will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her kindness, humor, and unwavering generosity touched everyone she met. Her legacy of compassion and joy will live on through her family, friends, and all those whose lives she brightened.
