Kathleen T. Heinzer, age 75 of Hubbard passed away peacefully at Assumption Village on Tuesday November 5, 2024.
Kathleen was born December 28, 1948 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of Thomas & Ann Hughes Marks.
She was a 1966 graduate of Ursuline High School.
She was a member of Saint Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Kathleen along with her husband, was a dedicated organizer of the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry which later became St. Patrick Food Pantry, a journey beginning in 2000. The pantry initially serving a dozen families grew to support 120-130 families a month with the help of Second Harvest Food Bank. Michael and Kathleen are dedicated contributors to Second Harvest Food Bank, both in the past and in the future. In recognition of their dedication The Second Harvest Food Bank of Mahoning Valley conference room was dedicated to them, a humbling honor that underscores the impact of their work.
Kathleen will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family; her husband Michael J. Heinzer whom she married May 24,1969; her children Thomas (Maggie) Heinzer of Sugar Grove, Illinois; Amy (Paul) Hogie of Big Lake, Minnesota; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Raymond Marks.
There will be a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM on Tuesday November 12, 2024 with calling hours prior to the Mass from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Saint Patrick Roman Catholic Church with The Very Rev. Michael D. Balash officiating.
Kathleen will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.
