Kathleen Denise Holst

Kathleen Denise Holst, age 64, of West Lafayette, Indiana, and formerly of DeMotte, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Heritage Healthcare. Kathleen was born on April 10, 1961, in Rensselaer, Indiana, the eldest of seven children born to Dennis and Sharon (Nannenga) Holst. She earned her GED and worked for several years on a factory assembly line. A woman of many talents, Kathleen enjoyed coloring, word search puzzles, and spent countless hours creating latch-hook and macramé projects. In earlier years, she found joy in playing the piano and clarinet. She was also a former member of First Reformed Church. Kathleen's greatest joy came from her family. Though she had no children of her own, she was a beloved aunt to more than 30 nieces and nephews, who held a very special place in her heart. She is survived by her parents, Dennis and Sharon Holst; her siblings: Kelly Darden, Tina (Randy) Rowan, Nicci (Rob) Hoffman, Jay (Glenda) Holst, Scott Holst, and Chase Holst; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will deeply miss her. Family and friends may gather for visitation on Monday, October 6, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. CST until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Jackson Funeral Service, with Pastor's Bob & Kathy Roush officiating. Burial will follow at Holland Cemetery. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Heritage Healthcare and a special thank you to Kathy's prayer partner, Mike Faith, who visited her weekly.
