Kathleen "Kathy" Ann Jacovini (nee Corrigan) of Chester Heights, PA passed away peacefully at her home on October 7th surrounded by her loving family. The oldest of seven children, Kathy was born at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital in 1954, grew up in Glenolden and attended Our Lady of Fatima grade school and Cardinal O'Hara High School. When she was 13 years old Kathy met the love of her life, Rich Jacovini and after years of dating they married in 1979.
Kathy worked as a secretary in Philadelphia at Abex Railroad Brakes, and then at Amtrak Railroad until 1982. After raising her two children Kathy returned to the workforce as a Sales Associate at JC Penney in Granite Run until 2009.
Kathy was an avid gardener, and loved reading, traveling, dancing, dining out, family reunions and escaping to the family beach house every summer in Avalon, New Jersey where, after a day in the sun, she and Rich would try a new restaurant every summer Saturday night.
Kathy is survived by her husband Rich, her children Martin and Jessica, her brothers Michael and Brian, her sisters Maureen Spadaro (Francis), Christine Corrigan, Joanne Hennessey (Frank), Barbara Clark (James) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives & friends are invited to her Viewing Tuesday, October 14th, 9:15 AM – 10:45 AM followed by her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM ALL IN CHURCH at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Rd, Glen Mills, PA 19342. Interment Saint Thomas the Apostle Cemetery.
