Kathy was a loving wife and one proud mom. She loved telling anyone who would listen exactly how proud she was of Audra and all her accomplishments. She loved being a fur mom to Hank and fur Nana to Lucy, but she would always talk about her Lucy Lou.
A talented and avid card maker and scrapbooker, Kathy enjoyed scrapbook retreats with her “other daughters,” Sherri and Sonya and attended card club every month with her “Cardashian” friends. She enjoyed going to Sunday School and enjoyed her time with her Sunday School ladies.
Kathy followed Carl wherever his job took them, never complaining and making numerous friends in various states over the years. She loved traveling with Carl and exploring the United States, often bringing her card-making and scrapbooking supplies along. When Carl retired, Kathy convinced Audra to take her on travel adventures.
Kathy had a servant's heart and loved fiercely, she never met anyone she didn’t like. She enjoyed cooking and making sweet treats for others. Actively involved in Audra's life, Kathy was an amazing Girl Scout Leader, creating lasting memories for the girls in her troop. She was also a dance mom and band mom, always cheering on Audra and her friends. She often became the “second mom” to Audra’s friends over the years. She was loved and had an impact on many lives over the years and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Peters, of the home, her daughter, Audra Peters of Pryor, OK, brothers-in-law, Phillip Peters of Hattiesburg, MS, Jack Peters and wife Kim of Plain Dealing, LA, Joe Peters and wife Margaret of Cripple Creek, CO, and Billy Peters and wife Vickie of Coushatta, LA; sister-in-law, Harriett Woodard and husband Jerry, also of Coushatta, LA, nieces, Sheri Peters, Misty Peters, Brinley Roush and husband Joe, Mandi Alegria and husband Anthony, Jessica Hester and husband Zach, and Kerri Layfield and husband Chris, nephews, Bo Woodard and wife Marie, and Jarred Woodard and wife Megan.
